Description:
The USDA National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) seeks applications for two post-doctoral economist positions. The applicant should have a strong background in applied microeconomics and econometrics. Additional valuable skills/experience include cross-disciplinary work in ecology or wildlife management, bioeconomic modeling, R and/or Matlab programming, survey analysis and design. Additional consideration will be given to applicants that have published research in peer-reviewed journals.

The successful applicant will work closely with a small team of economists and other researchers at the NWRC in Fort Collins, Colorado. Research conducted at the NWRC focuses on mitigating all types of human-wildlife conflict, and general topics include the management of wildlife species with multiple (and perhaps competing) uses, the management of wildlife diseases, and the management of invasive species.

Start and end dates are flexible and both positions are expected to last at least two years.
