The Institute of Political Economy and Governance (IPEG) in Barcelona invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Economics in the field of Political Economy at the Assistant Professor level.

The positions should begin no later than October 1st, 2016. The contract will be offered for 6 years corresponding to a three-year contract renewable once after a "mid-term" review. At the end of the 5th year, the Assistant Professor will be evaluated. In case of a positive evaluation that demonstrates an outstanding performance in research, the Assistant Professor will be offered a permanent contract.

Proven research abilities are necessary and the PhD should be completed by the date of the appointment.

The Assistant Professor is expected to participate in IPEG’s activities and research programs. All applications must be submitted by November 30th, 2015.

The Institute of Political Economy and Governance (IPEG) is a research center that focuses on the interaction between politics and economics. The Institute is the result of the joint collaboration of Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and "La Caixa" Foundation, and has received the support of the Government of Catalonia.
