The Department of Management & Business, in the School of Business, Education and Social Sciences at Messiah College, has a unique opening within its growing Economics Program for a full-time, term –tenure track faculty member, beginning in August of 2016.

The Program: Messiah’s Economics Program distinguishes itself by preparing students through a unique blend of experiential learning and faith integration. Such ways include, but are not limited to: International Business Institute travel for 10 weeks in Europe, India and China; study in Washington, D.C., through the American Studies Program; nationally recognized intern placements such as London Axco Insurance Information.

The College: Messiah College is a Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences and has a student body of nearly 2,800 undergraduate students including over 11% of under-represented and 3.2% international students from 23 countries and nearly 500 graduate students including 10.7% of students from under-represented populations.
The College is committed to an embracing evangelical spirit rooted in the Anabaptist, Pietist and Wesleyan traditions of the Christian Church. Our mission is to educate men and women toward maturity of intellect, character and Christian faith in preparation for lives of service, leadership and reconciliation in church and society.

Qualifications: Candidates who apply should demonstrate a strong background in the discipline. An earned doctoral degree in the discipline is preferred; however, an applicant who is ABD will be considered. Those with teaching experience will be given special consideration. The College seeks to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of teaching, discovery, application and integration of knowledge.

Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
