Full Text of JOE Listing:

The main duty of the position is to conduct research on financial stability issues, in particular on systemic risk, banking and macroprudential policy. Part of the research agenda should lead to the development of tools for financial stability surveillance and/or to provide input for policy discussions on financial stability at the Bank.

The Financial Research Unit has 5 PhDs in economics from American and European universities, and 6 economists with MA degree. In addition, it has programs of visiting and associate researchers.

Applicants should have a PhD in Economics or equivalent by the end of 2016. Experienced, already graduated PhD economists are also encouraged to apply. Areas of interest should be finance, banking, networks, systemic risk, central banking and/or financial stability.
Candidates should be fluent in English. Spanish is not a prerequisite but it is expected to be developed if hired.
