Senior associate or full professor in applied micro with preference for policy relevance. Teach undergraduate and potentially graduate courses, sustain a scholarly record commensurate with rank of appointment.

Participate in a new interdisciplinary center for free enterprise research, collaborating with faculty and students to conduct applied research and thought leadership on public policies related to economic development.

Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline is required. Normal teaching load is three courses (nine hours) per fall and spring semesters. Salary is competitive. Part of the UNC system and AACSB accredited, Western Carolina University is a comprehensive university with a student body of 10,000 located in Cullowhee, NC, a scenic rural valley between the Blue Ridge and the Smoky Mountains.
