Western Carolina University invites applications for the Gimelstob-Landry Distinguished Professorship in Regional Economic Development, endowed with a generous gift to the University.

The successful applicant will sustain a record of scholarship commensurate with appointment as a Distinguished Professor, administer programs supported by the Professorship’s endowment, teach courses in economics, and participate in a new interdisciplinary center for free enterprise research. In collaboration with center faculty and students, the successful applicant will conduct applied research and thought leadership on public policies related to economic development.

Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline is required. Expected teaching load is two courses (six hours) per fall and spring semesters. Salary is competitive. The College of Business is AACSB accredited and has 60+ faculty.
