Proficiency in programming (e.g. R, Matlab) and experience with big data in UNIX-based computer environments are expected. Knowledge of genetic principles, data, and programs used in complex trait genetics (e.g. Plink, GCTA, SnpTest, Impute) is an advantage but not a requirement.
