Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure-track opening beginning August 2016 at the assistant professor level in the field of public economics. Candidates are expected to provide quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, publish in leading journals and contribute to the Department's Ph.D. program.

Preferences will be given to candidates conducting microeconometric-based research in public economics with a focus on taxation; however, all exceptional candidates in the field of public economics will be considered. The candidate is expected to teach a graduate level public economics class that focuses on topics such as tax and expenditure incidence, efficiency and optimal taxation, tax rates and taxable income, corporate income tax, etc. The typical teaching load is two courses per semester.

The position requires a Ph.D. or expected completion by fall 2016. Candidates should have a commitment to work with a wide range of constituents and a diverse student population.
