The Department of Economics at the University of Nebraska--Omaha invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the area of business analytics and data science. Top candidates will have the ability to address important econometric, applied economic and business questions using recent advances in the collection and/or analysis of large data sets. The person's primary teaching responsibility will be both graduate and undergraduate Business/Data Analytics classes. Other teaching responsibilities, such as introductory data science and business forecasting/predictive analytics are possible. We are particularly interested in candidates who can expand the department's catalogue of course offerings as the field of data science expands. Therefore, a deep understanding of data storage and/or or programming techniques is highly valued. The ideal candidate is expected to engage in leading research and publish in high quality journals, provide service and student advising as needed, and engage with the academic and Omaha business communities.

The College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska--Omaha (UNO), an AACSB accredited institution, is located in the heart of Omaha: a metropolitan area of 877,000. UNO offers about 200 programs of study to 12,200 undergraduate and 2,850 graduate students. Despite its size, small classes are the norm.
