The Department invites applications for two tenure track Assistant Professors starting Fall 2016. Ph.D. by August 2016 required. Preference given to Economists specializing in one or more of the following fields: labor, health, behavioral, economics of education, developmental, applied microeconomics, macroeconomics, money and banking, and/or financial economics. Faculty members teach upper-division course in areas of expertise with quantitative/statistical applications, principles courses, and will have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, student advisement, and service.

The student-centered economics program at Eastern provides a rigorous curriculum which instills students with a sense of social responsibility to provide innovative solutions to society’s pressing issues related to the environment, sustainability, health and economic security. ECSU is especially interested in faculty with demonstrated innovation and excellence in teaching in a liberal arts curriculum, and sensitivity to diverse populations and perspectives.
