The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are seeking a candidate with a research interest in the causes and consequences of economic inequality. We will consider candidates from any field of specialization. In the application letter, the candidate should indicate how their research agenda addresses some aspect of theory, methodology, evidence, and/or policy relating to economic inequality. Econometric expertise, including time-series econometrics, will be considered a plus. Commensurate with their career state, candidates should have an excellent and sustained record of research and evidence of the potential or demonstrated ability to generate extramural funding. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2016, subject to final budgetary approval. A completed Ph.D. is required by the time of appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Our department is committed to a pluralistic approach to economics, including the comparison and critical analysis of a variety of theoretical paradigms.
