The Sanford School of Public Policy invites applications for the James R. Shepley Professorship of Public Policy at the rank of tenured associate or full professor. The successful candidate will teach and conduct research on media and democracy. Research areas might include the role of journalism in policy and politics, civil society and culture; technology, data and new media; and political communication. Research may focus on the international and/or domestic level.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in communication, economics, media studies, political science, public policy, or a related field.

The Sanford School offers an undergraduate major, two master’s programs, and a Ph.D. program. Undergraduates can earn a Policy Journalism and Media Studies Certificate. The School houses the DeWitt Wallace Center For Media and Democracy.
