Full Professor (W3) of Global Macroeconomics and Governance

The position is associated with a 100% appointment to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and a teaching assignment of 2 weekly hours per semester at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.

Candidates are expected to be economists that have published theoretical and empirical research on important global economic questions in renowned, refereed international journals. The research focus should lie in the area of global Macroeconomics and related to this, questions of global governance. Relevant areas include in particular International Finance, International Macroeconomics, International Monetary Economics, Capital Market Regulations and Exchange Rates Regimes. The research should be strongly related to prevailing policy questions resp. provide relevant insights to such questions. Concerning Global Governance relevant areas include the international financial order, as well as global and regional trade and investment agreements.
