The Center for Africana Studies of the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences seeks two professors of Africana Studies, one at the rank of Assistant Professor and one at the rank of tenured Associate or Full Professor, in any discipline. The Center for Africana Studies (CAS) is an interdisciplinary program that advances scholarship and teaching in African American Studies, African and African Diaspora Studies, and Urban Studies. Successful candidates may be rising scholars with demonstrated research in their fields or established scholars with a substantial record of research, publication, and interest in institution building. The successful candidates’ teaching and service will be evenly allocated between CAS and the department of their discipline. Minorities and women are especially encouraged to apply.
