The School of Economics and IIT are jointly seeking to appoint an outstanding economist in the field of international trade. The successful candidate will become a senior member of the academic staff of both the School of Economics and IIT and will be expected to develop an independent research program that achieves international recognition, develop and deliver targeted technical assistance and training programs, provide thought leadership on trade policy issues, supervise postgraduate research and teach in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

To be successful, you must have a PhD in economics, a demonstrated strong research track record in international trade, a demonstrated interest in trade policy and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and supervision.

Salary: (Level D) $127,063 - $139,984 per annum / (Level E) $163,674 per annum, plus an employer contribution of 17% may apply.

Term of position: This full-time continuing position is available from 1 January 2016; the date of commencement is negotiable.
