Department of Business Administration at the University of Illinois Springfield is searching for a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate level, beginning Spring 2016 with a 3-3 teaching load. This position is contingent on funding. This position will work with the Liberty Studies minor in both teaching and aiding in student outreach. Requirements: Ph.D. in Economics with a teaching and research interest in at least one of the following: Austrian Economics, New Institutional Economics, or Political Economy. Preferred candidates will have an interest, and experience, in teaching online. The ideal candidate will have the ability, under AACSB standards, to teach at least one course in any area of finance or financial economics. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly potential, and ability to work well in a small department.
Campus: Located in the state capital, the University of Illinois Springfield is one of three campuses of the University of Illinois. The UIS campus serves approximately 5,400 students in 21 graduate and 24 undergraduate programs. The academic curriculum of the campus emphasizes a strong liberal arts core, an array of professional programs, extensive opportunities in experiential education, and a broad engagement in public affairs issues of the day.
