Research Economist (Temporary)

The Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has temporary openings for economists doing research in macroeconomics, monetary economics, and international economics. The positions can last four months to one year. A Ph.D. is required. We prefer applicants with several years of academic or other professional research experience, but we will consider applications from new Ph.D.s as well. The position requires production of high-quality research for publication in academic journals and high-level analysis for presentation in Bank publications and briefings. For experienced candidates, proven research success is essential. For all candidates, excellent communication skills are required.
