The Office of Financial Research within the Department of Treasury seeks a dynamic and inspirational leader to direct a world-class, innovative Research and Analysis Center, located in Washington DC. The Deputy Director manages the:

• Development and use of analytical frameworks and tools for assessing and monitoring vulnerabilities in the financial system;
• Conduct, sponsorship, and promotion of research and analysis aimed at improving understanding of the functioning of the financial system; and
• Evaluation of macroprudential and financial stability policy tools such as stress tests, and the evaluation and promotion of best practices in financial risk management.

The Office of Financial Research was established by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to serve the Financial Stability Oversight Council, its member agencies, and the public by improving the quality, transparency, scope and accessibility of financial data and information, by conducting and sponsoring research related to the assessment and monitoring of financial stability, and by promoting best practices in data and risk management.
