The Economics Department at Bates College, a private, highly selective liberal arts college in Maine, invites applications for a one-year replacement position at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor. A Ph.D. is preferred, but ABD will be considered. Each successful candidate must combine teaching and research in one or more of the above fields. The search committee has special interest in candidates with the ability and willingness to teach at least one course related to economic issues in East Asia. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to teach Principles of Microeconomics across the year. The annual teaching load is five semester courses.
