Hanover Research’s Market Insight Center collaborates with B2B and B2C companies of varying sizes and across a large number of industries. Hanover serves as an adjunct planning department, capable of conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis and meeting needs such as Market Assessment, Market Sizing and Exploration, Customer Satisfaction, Consumer Insights and Brand/Product Perception.

Hanover Research is actively recruiting for our Content Analyst, Quantitative Research (Market Research) position in our Arlington, VA office.

The Content Analyst will be responsible for the production of quantitative research reports and strategic briefings on an extremely wide variety of market research topics, and will gain exposure to issues facing senior executives in the numerous Fortune 1000 for-profit industries Hanover serves. This position will allow for the swift development and refinement of a comprehensive set of market research skills and provides the opportunity to develop a relationship with a young and rapidly-growing enterprise. We expect all employees to be intellectually curious, ambitious, and interested in assuming increasing levels of responsibility. This is a mid-level research position and candidates with greater experience may be considered for more senior roles which include supervising other researchers.

Location: Arlington, VA

The following skills and attributes are highly desired:
• Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply econometric and statistical methods such as regression analysis, cluster analysis, and other multivariate techniques to practical research problems;
• High comfort level with statistical analysis software particularly STATA and R, as well as with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point;
• Expertise in survey design and analysis;
• Willingness and ability to pick up new quantitative skills and market research methodologies as necessary and apply them in new contexts;
• Strong command of the English language and demonstrated writing / editing skills;
• Independence and ability to take ownership of each project from start to finish;
• An extremely strong and demonstrable work ethic;
• Willingness to tackle complex, often unfamiliar research requests;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Experience writing for a business / professional audience is preferred.

Minimum Education required:
A Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline. ABD or PhD in a quantitative discipline is preferred. Candidates with advanced degrees in other disciplines with extensive quantitative coursework or professional experience will be considered.

Minimum Experience:
3 - 5 years of full-time “hands-on” work experience conducting quantitative research and analysis. Applied market research experience is not required, but preferred.
