The Agriculture Division of The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for an externally funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow position to evaluate expected economic tradeoffs associated with alternative production systems, management practices and technologies designed to mitigate production issues on farms and ranches in Oklahoma that are linked to a changing climate. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to (1) design and develop economic models that can be used to evaluate the economic tradeoffs between commonly used and alternative, more climate friendly production systems, management practices and technologies for farms and ranches in the state of Oklahoma; (2) work collaboratively with biological and physical scientist to design and implement field-level experiments that aim to generate data needed to evaluate the economics of alternative management practices and technologies; (3) present research findings to a number of audiences, including research collaborators, Noble Foundation faculty and staff, and peers at professional conferences; and (4) generate timely summary reports and produce journal quality publications.

This temporary Postdoctoral position is funded by the National Science Foundation's Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) Program for a period of up to 4 years with an anticipated end date on or before May 31, 2018, dependent upon performance and funding availability.

Qualifications:

Applicants are required to have a Ph. D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Operations Research or a closely related field; a strong academic record; the ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting; and self-motivation. Training and experience in the areas of production economics and farm management are preferred.
