Job Summary
The School of Management at the University of San Francisco seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor starting in Fall 2015 in the field of analytics.

Job Responsibilities
We seek applicants with expertise in analytics, with interest in application areas such as strategy, marketing, finance, supply chain management, logistics, health care management, social network analysis etc. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to manage and analyze very large data sets and their use in business decision-making. The School seeks applicants with significant experience in the use of sophisticated computational and statistical techniques and we are particularly interested in candidates with experience using R, Python, and distributed computing such as Hadoop in their research and/or business experience. Preference will be given to applicants with experience and interest related to directing the practicum component of the analytics program: http://analytics.usfca.edu/artsci/msan/project_opportunities

Requirements
A successful candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications: (1) an earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in operations management, statistics, operations research, econometrics or a related field by the time of appointment; (2) an established or emerging research program in analytics, broadly defined; and (3) an expectation of, or clear record of, excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Management, including in the Master of Science in Analytics (MSAN) and the MBA programs. The candidate will also be expected to undertake scholarly research in a collaborative and supportive environment that welcomes interdisciplinary and practice-oriented scholarship as well as discipline-based and theoretical work.
