Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Studley Graduate Program in International Affairs in the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. The New School is strongly committed to diversity in higher education and particularly invites applications from those individuals who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our intellectual community through research, teaching, and service.

The program is a multidisciplinary Master’s level program that bridges critical theory and practical training. Its approach is distinctive in the New School tradition: reflective, iconoclastic, and morally engaged.

The successful candidate will be a social scientist with an active agenda of research and publication and a strong background in economics, including in areas such as institutional economics, development economics, and political economy. Candidates should have a research focus on geographical regions outside of Europe and the United States, particularly the Middle East. We encourage applications from candidates whose research crosses disciplines and whose scholarly work provides a critical understanding of contemporary issues in international affairs.
