King’s International Development Institute (IDI) and the Department of Political Economy (DPE) would like to appoint a Lecturer in Development Economics (micro) with expertise in one or more country of East Asia and/or Southeast Asia. Candidates must have completed a PhD in Economics with a proven record of excellence in research, publications and teaching. The candidate will be based in IDI but will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in both IDI and the Department of Political Economy, and to supervise PhD students in his/her area of expertise. The successful candidate will also conduct and publish top-quality research in his/her area of specialism and be expected to play an important role in the further development of our teaching, research, public engagement and international reputation in this area.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 6 or Grade 7 scale, currently £32,277 to £47,328, per annum plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.

Indefinite contract.
