The Department of Finance and the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame invite applications for a full-time teaching professor beginning summer or fall 2015. Primary teaching responsibilities will include intermediate courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics in Mendoza’s undergraduate studies program. Teaching responsibilities may also include graduate-level business courses in microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis. All candidates must have a PhD in economics and provide evidence of excellence in teaching. The position is a three-year appointment with the expectation of ongoing renewal. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The University of Notre Dame is located in South Bend, Indiana, about 90 miles from Chicago and approximately 45 minutes from Lake Michigan. The university has about 10,000 students. Undergraduates account for about 80% of the student body. The university is consistently ranked in the top 25 U.S. undergraduate institutions. Our undergraduate business program was ranked #1 for the past five years in the Bloomberg Businessweek Survey.
