The College of Public and Community Service at the University of Massachusetts Boston is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join an innovative undergraduate program in Health and Community Development, beginning September 1, 2015. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and service in the areas of community economic and social development. Additional responsibilities include service learning outreach, creating community partnerships to facilitate interactive programming, and research. Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and research in a diverse, multicultural environment and online teaching are desirable.

The successful candidate should have a PhD (finished no later than August 2015) in such areas as Applied Economics, Health Economics, Urban Geography, Urban Planning, or Sociology, and the potential to develop a strong publication record and a program of funded research.
