Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Charles M. Snipes School of Business, one of the Schools of the College of Professional and Mathematical Studies (Hickory campus), seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Economics/Business Economics at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning August 2015. Doctorate in Economics required prior to appointment; an additional MBA degree is a plus. The appointment will teach courses in Economics at both the introductory and advanced levels and will have the opportunity to teach business classes based on qualifications. Teaching experience required; professional experience is preferred. Delivery of courses will require capacity to work with both traditional-aged and adult undergraduate students as well as MBA students (according to qualifications). Familiarity with and willingness for developing and delivering courses utilizing online and other non-traditional pedagogies is required, as is the ability to build relationships with the business community. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student mentorship, scholarly and professional engagement, and campus citizenship.
