BlackRock maintains a global team of independent risk professionals, known as Risk and Quantitative Analysis (“RQA”), which has a firm-wide role that is intimately involved in both the fiduciary and corporate risk management processes of BlackRock, Inc. RQA is responsible for providing independent measurements of risk and working closely with the global investment and operational teams.
RQA is looking for a senior quantitative researcher to help build out BlackRock’s risk analytics capability to support BlackRock’s multi-asset and alternatives businesses. BlackRock’s multi asset activities range from global macro products to top-down and bottoms-up fundamentally managed strategies. BlackRock’s Alternatives strategies includes BlackRock Alternative Advisors, Real Estate, Private Equity Partners, Direct Private Equities, and Renewable Power and is responsible for hedge fund product management in partnership with other investment teams within BlackRock.
The successful candidate will work closely with the alternatives and multi-asset risk and portfolio management teams to develop risk models and analytics. In addition to being used by BlackRock investment teams to manage risk, these models and analytics will be sold to third party clients by BlackRock Solutions.
