Stetson University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Economics to begin in August 2015. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics with teaching and research interests in the area of environmental economics. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a track record of successful research relating to the environment.

As an institution in the liberal arts tradition, we are interested in attracting outstanding teacher-scholars who support undergraduate students in contemplating the big questions in economics and the environment from local to global levels. Candidates should be committed to teaching distinctiveness and engaged in a vibrant research agenda that may involve undergraduate students. Candidates should also be prepared to represent the Department in University-wide collaborations, including the development of Stetson’s new Institute for Water and the Environment.
