Stetson University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Economics to begin in August 2015. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics with teaching and research interests in the area of environmental economics. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a track record of successful research relating to the environment.

As an institution in the liberal arts tradition, we are interested in attracting outstanding teacher-scholars who support undergraduate students in contemplating the big questions in economics and the environment from local to global levels. Candidates should be committed to teaching distinctiveness and engaged in a vibrant research agenda that may involve undergraduate students. Candidates should also be prepared to represent the Department in University-wide collaborations, including the development of Stetson’s new Institute for Water and the Environment.

Applicants should send letter of interest, curriculum vitae, research sample, statement of teaching and research philosophy, graduate transcripts, teaching evaluations, and three letters of recommendation to the AEA JOE Network system. Review of applications will begin on December 10 and will continue until the position is filled.
