Tenure would be in the Department of Economics. This appointment has a reduced teaching assignment to allow the successful candidate to develop economic expertise regarding issues relevant to Florida’s economy, to interact with the media and give presentations around the state, and to conduct externally funded economic research. Fields are open but the candidate should conduct empirical research. Relevant fields include urban, regional, public, development, econometrics, environmental, macro, or labor economics. The ability to communicate in Spanish is required, in order to interact directly with relevant constituents.

A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible.
