The School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University Bloomington seeks candidates at the assistant or associate professor level whose scholarship focuses on the role and functioning of international organizations in promoting, coordinating, or regulating trade or finance. The scale of analysis may be regional or global, and the specific field of investigation is open. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of International Studies, effective August 1, 2015, and will contribute to the School’s profile of engaging contemporary issues of public interest or concern.

Candidates should demonstrate broad theoretical interests, active research agendas with the promise of publication in high quality venues, and proficiency in appropriate research methods. In addition to maintaining an impressive research program, the holder of this position must possess strong teaching credentials. She or he is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels on development policy, trade organizations, and regional or global economic governance. Scholars with strong methodological skills will also have opportunities to teach courses in quantitative, qualitative, or formal methods of research in the areas listed above. Applicants should have or expect to receive a doctoral degree in a social science or terminal degree in a related field by August 2015.
