Tenure track opening at assistant professor level beginning August 2015. Ph.D. preferred or A.B.D. with Ph.D. completion within first year acceptable. The position is a joint appointment in the School of Business & Economics and the Central Wisconsin Economic Research Bureau. Responsibilities are teaching and serving as the CWERB Coordinator. The Coordinator will help the Chief Economist expand the CWERB’s regional development efforts. The CWERB can be found at http://www.uwsp.edu/busecon/pages/cwerb/home.aspx. Although a teaching-oriented department, scholarly activity, professional growth, and university service are required.

Candidates should have a specialty in regional, urban, transportation economics, economic forecasting, or other relevant field. Preferred candidates will have strong written and oral communication skills, experience with economic report writing and interacting with the business community and media, and a demonstrated ability to teach and conduct research.

Screening begins November 24, 2014, and continues until the position is filled.
