The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne seeks candidates for a Professorship(W3) in Economics which will be part of the Center for Macroeconomic Research (CMR).

We seek candidates with a focus on macroeconomics and related fields, such as public economics or financial economics, who have a strong research record with publications in leading journals.

The University of Cologne is one of Germany’s largest universities and a winner of the recent Excellence Initiative by the German government. The Faculty itself is one of Germany’s top ranked schools for economics, management and social sciences. It offers B.A., M.A. and Doctoral degrees and thus teaching responsibilities that cover undergraduate and graduate education, including doctoral programs. Courses are taught either in English or German.

Salaries are based on the German W-scheme (W3), with supplementary allowances competitive with international salaries, contingent on academic achievements and teaching experience.
