The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management of Cornell University invites applications for a tenured position in our Economics group. This position is based at the New York City campus, although some teaching and research may be done in Ithaca. Applicants with research and teaching interests in the economics of technology and innovation are especially well-suited to the mission of Johnson NYC Tech. Responsibilities of the position include research in area(s) of expertise, teaching basic and advanced courses in management at the MBA and Ph.D. levels; supervision of doctoral candidates; and service to the School.

Johnson offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Its MBA programs are consistently ranked in the top 20. Faculty members in the Economics group conduct research on diverse topics using a variety of research methods. Current tenure-track faculty members are Henry Schneider, Justin Johnson, Michael Waldman, Ori Heffetz, Robert Frank, Cathy Barrera, and Armin Rick. This group is expected to grow over the next several years.

This faculty position is based in New York City at the Cornell Tech campus, with continual interactions with faculty at the Ithaca campus. The Cornell Tech campus is located in temporary facilities prior to its permanent home on Roosevelt Island. The campus will serve as a focal point for the city's tech ecosystem, accelerating existing sectors of its economy, and driving the formation of new technology businesses through close ties to customers and unique domain knowledge.
