Position Summary:
West Chester University is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics to begin August 2015. Salary is dependent on qualifications. Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include undergraduate and MBA teaching (principles, business statistics, and intermediate and upper-level economics electives), scholarly research appropriate for AACSB accredited institutions, and performance of departmental and university-wide service. Teaching assignments will include opportunities for teaching at off-campus sites and/or through distance learning.

Requirements:
Candidates must either hold a Ph.D. in economics, or be ABD with economics Ph.D. completion expected by August 2015. Candidates who earned a Ph.D. more than 3 years ago must have scholarship consistent with West Chester University’s scholarly academic standards. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required, along with a record of scholarship or demonstrated research capability. Finalists must successfully complete an interview process and provide a teaching demonstration.

Preferences:
We particularly invite applications from candidates with a concentration in applied macroeconomics, but excellent candidates in all fields will be considered.
