Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department invites applications for one tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level starting in Fall 2015. Ph.D. in hand or expected by August 2015 required. Preference will be given to Applied Microeconomists specializing in the following fields: behavioral, experimental, financial and/or sports economics. Candidates will teach upper-division course in areas of expertise with quantitative/statistical applications. Candidates will also teach principles courses and should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, student advisement, and service.

The student-centered economics program at Eastern provides a rigorous curriculum which instills students with a sense of social responsibility to provide innovative solutions to society’s pressing issues related to the environment, sustainability, health and economic security. ECSU is especially interested in faculty with demonstrated innovation and excellence in teaching in a liberal arts curriculum, and sensitivity to diverse populations and perspectives.

Interviews will be conducted at the January ASSA meetings.
