The University of South Alabama, Mitchell College of Business (MCOB), invites applications for a tenure-track position in economics beginning August 15, 2015. The department is seeking an ambitious scholar for the position of assistant or associate professor who is academically qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate economic courses. The ideal candidate should have strong foundations in macroeconomics and be capable of making significant contributions in this field. A commitment to excellent teaching is required. The candidate is expected to develop a teaching portfolio that includes principles of macroeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics and development economics. The rank is dependent on the candidate's qualifications. Candidates should have earned a doctorate degree in economics but ABDs will be considered.

Applications received by December 1, 2014 will receive full consideration for interviews at ASSA 2015, however, applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
