The NCI-designated Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia invites applications for a Fellowship Program in the Economic of Cancer Prevention & Control Research.

This 2 year flexible program is NIH funded, offering salaries and start-up funds while preparing Fellows for an academic career.

Areas of research interest as they relate to health economics and cancer include (but are not limited to):
• Health policies regarding physician reimbursement and insurance coverage
• Cost of care and efficient allocation of resources
• Comparative effectiveness research
• Role of safety net providers in providing care to underserved
• Role of health insurance in treatment and outcomes

Deadline for Applications: We are looking to fill one postdoctoral position IMMEDIATELY, starting fall 2014 or January 2015.

Application Requirements:
Candidate should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree by the start of the fellowship and a commitment to a career as a cancer prevention and control researcher. In addition, candidate should have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. MUST have a green card or US citizenship.

• A personal statement describing the reason for seeking research training, specific research
interests, and how the R25 will contribute to future career plans.
• At least two letters of recommendation, including one from the training director or doctoral
