Cornell University created a new Department of Economics in 2011 by combining the former Economics Department, Labor Economics Department, and several other senior faculty members on campus. We now have a new Department with 54 faculty members and are looking to expand and dramatically improve.

The Department of Economics at Cornell University invites applications for multiple positions at any rank (tenure-track or tenured faculty) in the field of Labor and Demographic Economics. Assistant Professor candidates must receive a Ph.D. and must have an established record of outstanding research and excellent teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Experienced applicants may merit a tenured Associate Professor or Professor position, depending on their qualifications.
