The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a Ph.D. Economist or experienced researcher with research and policy interests in banking and financial markets. Economists are expected to produce rigorous research for publication in refereed journals and presentation at research conferences and to provide high-quality analysis for policy briefings and Bank publications. Strong analytical and communications skills are essential. A Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline is required. Familiarity with banking data is a plus. Senior applicants should have a proven track record in publication. We will be interviewing at the ASSA/AEA annual meeting January 2015 for this position and a related Officer position. Qualifications for the Officer job include: Ph.D. in economics or related discipline, record of publications in banking or financial markets in refereed journals, minimum ten years of experience in the regulatory industry, financial industry, and/or academia and a minimum of five years’ experience managing and leading staff.
