Full Text of JOE Listing:

The mission of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is to improve the quality of life for people and their communities, here and abroad. We achieve this mission through education and research that promote innovative solutions to the most critical issues facing society.

The Leonard D. Schaeffer Center (Schaeffer Center) for Health Policy and Economics combines research and policy to promote evidence-based health care reform, and to train a new generation of global health policy leaders. Its mission is to promote health and value in health care delivery through innovative research and policy in the United States and internationally. In addition, the Schaeffer Center conducts research to address five of the most salient health policy issues:
(1) reducing unnecessary spending;
(2) improving insurance design;
(3) understanding how public policy affects medical innovation;
(4) determining the macroeconomic consequences of health care spending and health; and
(5) improving comparative effectiveness and outcomes research.

The Schaeffer Center is accepting applications for postdoctoral fellowships in health policy and health economics. The fellowship allows scholars to sharpen their analytical skills and advance their research agendas in the fields of heal policy and health economics through formal and informal training and extensive collaboration with distinguished researchers.

We are looking for scholars from relevant disciplines such as economics, public policy, health policy, statistics, medicine, and psychology. The fellowship provides a competitive stipend and other benefits. This is a 12 month fixed term which may be renewed up to a maximum of two years.
