The Department of Economics at Colby College invites applications for two tenure-track positions in macroeconomics at the assistant or advanced assistant professor level beginning September 2015. We are looking for candidates with a research field in macroeconomics and a demonstrated ability – through prior experience, coursework, or current research – to teach undergraduate courses in international macroeconomics and/or topics in macroeconomics at the intermediate and advanced levels. Department faculty share in the teaching of the core curriculum. In addition to introductory and intermediate macroeconomics, we are particularly interested in candidates that can teach mathematical economics, statistics, or econometrics. Colby College expects both excellent teaching and published research and provides substantial support for career development in both areas. Candidates should be able to complete a Ph.D. in economics by August 2015. To be considered for an interview at the January 3-5, 2015 AEA meetings in Boston, send curriculum vitae, graduate transcript, published work or a completed working paper of current research, official summaries of teaching evaluations, and a brief statement of teaching philosophy by November 22, 2014. Electronic submissions in a pdf-formatted file are required and should be submitted via email to macroeconpositions@colby.edu. Electronic copies of three letters of recommendation are also required by this deadline and should be emailed to macroeconpositions@colby.edu.
