The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor in Economics beginning no later than Fall 2015. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics. We prefer candidates who have demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research. Areas of teaching and research interest are open.

The department supports the Arkansas Center for Research in Economics (ACRE) (http://uca.edu/acre), a research and education center focused on Arkansas and adjacent states. ACRE’s primary purpose is to demonstrate that increasing personal and economic freedom in the region will lead to tangible improvements in citizen’s lives. The successful candidate is expected to participate regularly in the research and education activities of ACRE. Research interests in state and regional public policy are a plus.

Applicant review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Some preliminary interviews will occur at the SEA meetings in Atlanta.
