The Economics Department at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure track position, beginning fall semester 2015. We expect to hire at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates will be considered at the Associate or Full Professor level. Colgate is a highly selective liberal arts college where excellence in teaching and research are expected and supported. We seek an applied microeconomist with a strong interest in public policy. Teaching would include electives in the candidate's field of specialization and contributions to courses required for the economics major, such as principles, intermediate microeconomics, statistics, or econometrics. All Colgate faculty are expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Completion of Ph.D. prior to or shortly after the date of hire is expected.
