The Department of Economics invites applications from qualified candidates for a preliminary (tenure-track) appointment in the field of macroeconomics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2015.

Academic positions in Economics offer opportunities for interaction with excellent colleagues. (Our faculty have edited top field journals, have published recently in top general and field journals, and are involved in the NBER.) Naturally, such positions also offer opportunities for interaction with the students in our Ph.D. program. Location in close proximity to the Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada, and Finance Canada provides many advantages. Further information on the Department is available at www.carleton.ca/economics.

The position requires a completed Ph.D. (or expected in 2015), evidence of high-quality research, and good teaching potential.
