Austin College invites applicants for a tenure track assistant professor of economics position beginning August 2015. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and an interest in health economics, economic development, and research methods. This position has the opportunity to network and build relationships within the larger Dallas and regional area through working with Economics Scholars Program (ESP). The ESP program is now in its 9th year and attracts undergraduate student scholars from across the nation to participate in a one day research conference held each spring at the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank. It is expected that this position will develop into a leadership role in the ESP. Successful applicant will teach three (3) courses per regular semester and a Jan-term course once every two year period. Some participation in college-wide interdisciplinary programs and service is presumed. Ph.D. required. Austin College is a selective national liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1300 undergraduates.
