Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the Executive Office of the President, is a fast-paced organization that contributes to virtually every major policy, regulatory, and management initiative in the Federal government. OMB's Economic Policy Division is a small team of economists that impacts public policy by making recommendations to OMB and White House leadership in a wide range of areas. Our economists work in interdisciplinary teams to model and analyze the impact of Federal government policies over the short, medium and long term, develop the economic forecast used for the President's Budget, and promote rigorous evaluation for Federal programs.

We are looking for someone with a PhD in economics or equivalent training and experience to join our team and expect to announce a vacancy for a permanent position at the GS 12-13 grades ($75,621 – $116,901). We will be at the Boston ASSA meetings to meet promising candidates. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as technical expertise, and an enthusiasm for applying economic tools from a wide range of fields to many different policy areas.
