The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation (www.kauffman.org) is among the thirty largest foundations in the United States with an asset base of approximately $2 billion. The Foundation has an extensive Research and Policy program that is ultimately aimed at helping to develop effective programs and inform policy that will best advance education and entrepreneurship.

The Kauffman Foundation has retained EFL Associates in the search for a Programmatic Research Director, a critical new position within the expanding research and policy department. The Director will directly oversee the entrepreneurship research initiative with significant overlap in education programs/research. S/he will work collaboratively with both program leaders and research peers to define and oversee the research agenda, serving as a spokesperson for research and disseminating findings as appropriate. A research or grant writing background in education, economics, public policy or entrepreneurship is desired.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy or other related field is required. A masters or doctoral degree is preferred with at least 7 years of experience working in a research or grant writing capacity.
• Comfort with quantitative and qualitative data analysis, developing metrics for measuring and communicating success.
• Previous supervisory experience is necessary.
