The Department of Resource Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor with a research focus in environmental economics to start September 2015. Although all areas of environmental economics will be considered, we have a particular interest in applied econometricians who conduct research in the areas of climate change, energy and the environment, or health and the environment. Teaching responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, Department graduate and undergraduate courses in environmental and natural resource economics.
Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in agricultural/resource/applied economics, economics, or a related field as of September 1, 2015.
The Department of Resource Economics has 14 faculty, 300 undergraduate majors, and about 20 graduate students (one-half are Ph.D. candidates). We place special emphasis on high quality research, on faculty-student interaction, and on cooperation among faculty. We share a fundamental commitment to teach and attract a diverse student body.
