The program in African and African American Studies at Dartmouth College seeks to hire a social scientist at the senior level who will add to our existing strengths in transnational and interdisciplinary studies. We have particular interest in someone whose scholarship concerns South America or Africa, but we are open to work on other regions in the African Diaspora. Specific disciplines of interest to us include anthropology, economics, geography, legal studies, political science, psychology, or public policy. We welcome applicants whose approach incorporates inequalities, social change, or human rights.

Minimum requirements: Ph.D. and at least six years of teaching experience, with appropriate peer-reviewed publications for the rank of tenured associate or full professor.

The deadline for submissions has been extended. The Committee will begin reviewing applications on February 2, 2015 and will continue until the position is filled.
